How often should a garage door be serviced?

What does a tune-up include?
A balance and spring-tension test, lubrication of rollers, hinges, and springs, tightening of all hardware, cable inspection, safety-sensor and auto-reverse testing, opener force checks, and a look at the weather seal.
Why is my garage door so loud?
Usually worn rollers, dry hinges and springs, or hardware that has rattled loose — all things a tune-up addresses. If the noise is a grinding or straining opener, have it looked at before it fails.
